SOUL SOUP FOR YOUR CHICKENS
Soul Soup for Your Chickens is an album which I've had in concept for a year now. It'll be my first album released under this moniker and will jump across all sorts of genres, from Drum and Bass to Breakbeat to IDM. The first disc will be more traditional sounding tracks with clear song structures typical of the genres, however the second disc will be more experimentalist in sound manipulation, genre, and song structure. The songs on the album will be:
Disc 1: Traditionalism
- Intro (simply put, an intro)
- Bi-Phased (Neuro track, simply put)
- Thats the Way (Chilled roller type track)
- Flail (Another chilled roller DnB tune with guitars and vocals)
- Oceans of Mist (The best way I know to describe it is as a fizzy breakbeat track, kinda soothing)
- Keep Trippin' (fast-paced acid breaks) [Download short edit here]
- Concoction (Another neuro DnB track with some acid influences)
- Kontrol Ur T3mpr (An epic neuro roller) [Download short edit here]
- Reaching (A more upbeat epic neuro track) [Download here]
- Rush! (A fast-paced hard-hitting good ol' American DnB track) [Download short edit here]
- Differentiate (A smooth liquid roller with rhodes)
- Throwback (A soft, old-school DnB track)
- Goodbye (The right way to end an album)
- Hello (Intro to the second disc)
- Floating on a Cloud of Self-Assurance (soft downtempo track) [Download here]
- E/FC (another soft downtempo track, similar in style to Floating)
- Mute (Ambient track)
- Chet (Static-ey downtempo breaks)
- SAC (Chet strikes back)
- Nintendo 64 (Stuttered 6/4 track)
- 21 Steps to a More Horrid Future (Distorted 7/4 track)
- Smooth (Another downtempo track to give everyone a nice little break)
- More (Another 6/4 track)
- Entr!k-c (Experimental IDM track)
I have not quite figured out how I am going to distribute the album but I will more than likely go multiple approaches with it. I plan on setting up some sort of "pay as much as you want" deal for downloading it off of somewhere (probably not here to help circumvent server cost). Along with that, I plan on having an actual professional pressing somewhere that will cost money (at least enough to cover the cost of getting the CD, case, and booklet made). I am not sure whether or not I'll shop around for a label or try to release independently but I'll be sure to let you all visiting this site be the first ones with knowledge
